According to hoetogeek, a DAT file contains important information for software to handle. The information contained inside a DAT file is usually either plain text or binary, although in rare cases you might encounter them as the actual data of a video file for programs like VCDGear or CyberLink PowerDirector.
Opening a dat file is not easy as it may contain anything, text, picture, videos… Once, I had my videos stored in .dat format in the CD’s, and didnt know how to open them. Later I found out that it can be opened using the windows media player. I was able to do this, as i knew the source, that it was a video. For unknown sources, try the method given in howtogeek.
A domain extension is the combination of characters following the period in a web address. You would have noticed em after name of the webpage, like:
.com
.org
.net
.co
.in
.us
It’s used to designate the category or country code for a website. For instance, in wordpress.com,“.com” is the domain extension and signifies that the website is for commercial use.
1 .com
It is the most popular top-level domain (TLD). It was originally used to designate for-profit businesses, but has now become the mainstay for domain extensions.
Much like the .com extension, .net is open to anyone. What was originally intended for internet service providers or networks has now become a great alternative to .com. The .net might be a nice option for tech- or application-based companies because it implies network and technology.
The .org extension is also open to any person or entity, even though it was originally designed to represent not-for-profit organizations. It’s a popular option for many non-governmental organizations, nonprofits, politicians and political parties, and online communities.
The .co extension is an interesting option if you’re asking what are the five most common domain extensions. It originally designated the country code for Colombia, but has become a popular option for global domains. The .co TLD is a familiar acronym for company, corporations or commercial ventures. This familiarity has led many forward-thinking businesses to build their brands on a .co.
Certain domains like .us, .in are resevered for certain countries in specific. For example, .us is reserved to citizens and entities in the United States.
6 Other domain extension options
Below are some other popular domain extensions:
.gov — Limited to government agencies
.edu — Limited to educational institutions
.info — An open extension that is short for information
.xyz — An open extension available for general use
.ly — Country code for Libya, but used by many tech startups for creative spellings
You might often get this message saying “flash player not supported” in your device and you might see this on your google screen to!
Mojo media labs gives the top 5 reasons to avoid using flash player.
1. REQUIRES A FLASH PLAYER
Want a video or animation on your website? From 1996 up until about 2010, you probably would’ve looked no further than Adobe Flash. When Adobe released their multimedia platform Flash in 1996, it was revolutionary and changed the way websites looked and worked. Users had to make sure their Flash player was downloaded and updated and voila, animations and videos! It was really cool.
Now, most people don’t bother making sure they have the latest Flash player updated and installed on their computers. In fact, users are encouraged to block sites that use Flash because of security issues.
2. SECURITY ISSUES
Flash has a long history of security flaws, malware, and bugs.
The site CVE Details reports that 63 total flash vulnerabilities were found in 2011. The most common Flash security vulnerability being executable code, denial-of-service, overflow, and cross-site scripting. These issues have resulted in many security experts advising against installing Flash or suggesting that internet users employ tools to block Flash. The site gives additional Adobe Flash Player details and documents CVE security vulnerabilities, versions and detailed reports.
3. DOESN’T WORK ON APPLE MOBILE DEVICES
Apple led the movement away from Flash dependency back when they released the iPhone and later the iPad. Flash is terrible for mobile devices because it drains battery and eats memory, and of course because of the many bugs. Because of this, Steve Jobs announced his mobile products would not support Flash. Jobs comments here about Flash in 2010 he says “Flash was created during the PC era – for PCs and mice.” Of course, Jobs was proven right as Flash is essentially dead in the era of tablets, smartphones and touch screens.
4. INEFFICIENT
Flash consumes a lot of power, slows down browsers and causes your computer to do a lot of unnecessary work. Mobile is huge now so the technology has to be light and efficient.
5. BETTER SOLUTIONS
There are much better solutions now for animation. The new standard is the HTML5 Canvas element.
If you’ve ever played around with one of the fun Google doodles of the day, you can see how easy and seamless the HTML 5 code works. It is supported by all browsers, more efficient, and works on all devices. You don’t have to have special software to run it and there aren’t security issues to worry about.
What do you possibly think of chemical engineering? Geeky people working in labs to make new chemicals🧪 or tom and jerry kind of contraptions with chemicals going around different sized jars & beakers, coming out as a drop and ….. BOOM🔥!
Thats not what chemical engineering is about. It’s a wierd and a eerie combo of math, physics, biology and engineering principles with chemistry to bring about great stuffs! We make air breathable, water drinkable and food eatable! We create chemicals and processes to extract and use the natural resources nature has given us and also develop methodologies to reduce their consumption, develop newer energy sources and improve the existing ones, reduce all forms of pollution and prevent further devastation of our planet, to put it in simple words….. We make life on planet earth possible! Woah, that’s a lot of boasting 😇😂…
The field is quite younger than the other engineering fields. It was first structured by George E Davis back in 1886 in University of Manchester and courses were also simultaneously offered at the MIT and Owens. But the graduates were not attractive to the employers as there was nothing special about it the. As the years progressed, newer concepts like unit processes begun to emerge, and the concepts of transport phenomena gave an analytical approach to chemical engineering. The emergence of petrochemical industries, pharma industries increased the importance of the field. Today, they are among the most paid engineers around the world.
That is the BASF, the world’s largest chemical company based in Germany. There are many famous chemical companies too, Dow chemicals, DuPont, 3M. SABIC, AkzoNobel, Exxonmobil, Reliance industries, etc.
Chemical engineering is an awesome profession to take and is always adventurous to work in. Being a chemical engineer, you tend to understand how everything is made and how stuffs work. You get a totally different perspective to see the world you know!
Hydroxychloroquine is a class of anti-malarial drugs that kill the malarial parasites in the human body. The drug is administered orally and has many side effects too! It was a breakthrough invention for the cure of malarial disease. The drug is also on the list of World Health Organization’s List of Essential Medicines, the safest and most effective medicines needed in a health system.
The drug is now being studied as a possible cure to CoVID-19 pandemic too. The drug has its major manufacturing base in India, thus the country leads the export of this drug to the world on request pf many developed countries like the US, UK, Australia, Israel etc.
The manufacture of this drug is not a piece of cake. It takes about 12 – 13 steps to manufacture the drug commercially. A small mistake anywhere in the process, we are done for good. And the synthesis is studied by chemical engineering students of Anna University, Chennai, India.
This is exactly where chemical engineers come into picture. They are taught to keep the process and its parameters under control, what to do in case of errors and technical glitches, how to increase the efficiency of the process and lots more. In fact, it is the job of a chemical engineer to convert the lab scale research to a commercial product!
Photography is the art, application and practice of creating durable images by recording light or other electromagnetic radiation, either electronically by means of an image sensor, or chemically by means of a light-sensitive material such as photographic film.
Woah …woahhh!!! Thats wikipedia for youu… Simply, Photography is the art of clicking pictures! The first permanent photograph was captured in 1826 (some sources say 1827) by Joseph Nicéphore Niépce in France.
The first foto ever taken!
This is how fotos look today!
This Hubble image of the entire Crab Nebula.
Everthing has actually changed…. The camera, the storage of fotos, the battery, the lens…. And mainly the SIZE! Why dont you see that yourself😉
Photography has emerged to be a profession and means of bread to many in today’s world. It has also developed brilliantly that it is now in the hands of almost every individual today.
Many people do photography as their recreational activity, have pages in instagram and share it to the world! As photos are not taken, but are made by the photographers.
It was first new to mee too….hardly believed it either…. At very low ISO and higher frame rates… You can capture light! See to the image in the right…. Generally, it is shot using a DSLR cameras for best quality, but it can be taken in mobiles like the Samsung S series or iPhones.
All you gotta do is to bring down your ISO to as low as possible to 50 or below and shutter speed of 10 to 30 seconds. Now use a flash light of a mobile or any good light source for that matter to draw your desired shape…. And you would have got a wonderful light trail….
Also try using a colour paper or tape over your source to get different light colours. You could also capture traffic and car movements and get their light trails too…. It is best shot during the night.
Here are some famous light photographers, by PetaPixel:
LAPP-PRO, formerly a duo but now just Jan Leonardo, is one of the most well-known light painting photographers working today.
Hannu Huhtamo‘s light painting is notable for many reasons, but perhaps one of the most impressive aspects of his work is his symmetry.
Trevor Williams, currently a member of the Japan -based light painting group Fiz-iks, might be a familiar name to a lot of people.
And these are some people I know!
Chris Buckard is a traveller cum photographer famous for his pics of nature espcially aerial photography! I jus love it.
David Guttenfelder is a NATGEO photographer and his works are mainly explorational and abstract
Eric Pare is an artist from Montreal who is a Light-painting and bullet-time Photographer. His Light paintings are awe strucking!
Listen to my lens is a page of my friends’. He to does a good work. HIs pictures are actually quite imaginatory!
References are one of the most important components in any journal articles. Adding them manually is tedious and changes like adding or removing a citation will lead to changing of all the subsequent numbers or order to be changed.
The references tool in MS Word can be used for this purpose. Goto:
References> Insert Citation> Add new Source
The style required can be changed to that required by the desired journal in the “Style” section where a number of predefined styles are available.
At the end, the references can be added using different styles and the table of citations can be updated by two ways as in the figures that follow.
The MS word offers a tool to keep a track of the changes you did in the document. It turns out to be useful when you aere editting a document for another user, so that he or she can choose to accept or reject the change or know whats been changed/.
To track changes, you must enable it in the review pane as
Review> Track Changes> Track Changes.
Every change made is coloured in red with a strike mark, and the correction is also red in colour but without a strike mark. The horizontal line in the side describes the location or the lines in which the changes have been made. These changes can be accepted and also be rejected too.
When you accept the change the striked words are removed and the changed text is accepted and formatted like the other text, and if the change is rejected, the change is removed and the text is returned to however it was.
